Scratch & dent means new, not used
This is the part people get wrong, so we say it plainly: a scratch & dent appliance has never been used. It is brand new inside. Somewhere on the outside — often where you will never see it — it has a mark it picked up in a warehouse.
What you are actually buying
- A brand new machine. Never installed, never run in a home, never returned by anyone.
- A cosmetic mark: a dent in a side panel, a scratch on a door, a scuff on the back.
- Around half the price of the same machine without the mark.
- A three month A1 warranty, which we register for you when you buy it.
- The same delivery, installation and old unit removal as anything else we sell.
Open box
Open box is the same idea with less to look at: the box was opened — a display model, a cancelled order, a delivery that came back — and the machine is untouched. On this site those are marked OPEN BOX on the product.
Look before you buy it
We mean this. Unboxed appliances are new, but they may have cosmetic blemishes, and the buyer is responsible for looking over each unboxed unit before purchasing.Come in, open the door, walk round the back. If the mark bothers you, tell us and we will show you another one.
It is also why appliances are not returnable, exchangeable or refundable after delivery or pick up — you saw it before it left.
